Euthanasia

Euthanasia is performed by first inducing deep sleep followed by the first injection. After five to ten minutes, the second injection is given. This will cause cardiac arrest.

The veterinarian carefully checks:

1. that the anesthesia covers deep sleep

2. at least twice with an interval of 5 minutes, that death has occurred irreversibly.

The veterinarian reserves the right to refuse euthanasia if

- the pet is deemed to be suitable for euthanasia for reasons other than serious illness and/or advanced age.

- the pet's family and owner openly disagree with each other about the decision.

The customer provides

- a shielded and suitable area, outdoors or indoors.

- disposes of his/her deceased pet for burial or cremation.
